Pool Facility

The G.T. Bray swimming pool is a T-shaped, heated, outdoor facility owned and operated by Manatee County, Florida. It possesses six 50-meter lanes, and a perpendicular set of eight 25-yard lanes. During most days, the lane ropes are configured to permit 25 yard lap swimming only, with open swimming then restricted to both the pool's shallow ends. Competition swimming, however, will use the full 50 meter dimension. The locker rooms and shower facilities have been upgraded recently. And there is ample bike and car parking available during the day or night. There is also a separate 16 foot diving well, a kiddy play area and splash park, a refreshment stand, and plenty of sun-screens on the premises.
